This video is the central imagery of a triptych titled ‘Lumen Ad Revel’. It is part of a body of work that is based on an ongoing interest in the rhythm and visual poetry of natural light. It explores the relationship between architectural spaces and cultural symbolism.
The seamlessly looping imagery used points to an idea of ‘deep time’, and whilst celebrating the beauty that can be found in a heightened awareness of the interplay of natural light in an interior space, the work also alludes to the brittle fragility of our constructed environments and social systems.
